Any good fiction book about surviving out in the wilderness or on an island?

Stories like the hunger games, which was awsomee, or the tv show lost. Post apocalyptic stories about surviving are good. Preferably not with zombies or vampires or aliens.Any good fiction book about surviving out in the wilderness or on an island?
Hatchet. The Road, which I absolutely loved. Uhm, idk any else. =/
The Beach. I liked it.Any good fiction book about surviving out in the wilderness or on an island?
Lord of the Flies is a thousand times better than The Hunger Games, although it's nothing post apocalyptic or futuristic.

Hatchet is another survival tale, although, yet again, maybe not for Hunger Games fans (plus, it's a book for kids).

I can also think of a series called Fire-us, which is about how a virus has wiped out all the adults, and now the few surviving children have to band together.

Shade's Children, by Garth Nix, if I remember correctly, is also about some sort of survival in an alternate universe. Garth Nix is awesome, so you'd probably like it even if it's not about survival.

And then there's also....Walden, by Henry David Thoreau. Lol. I don't think you would like this one.
I'm going to say Shade's Children by Garth Nix. Summary: In a savage post-nuclear world, four young fugitives attempt to overthrow the bloodthirsty rule of the Overlords with the help of Shade, their mysterious mentor.
Life of Pi.

Haven't read it yet, but I know it's about being stranded in the middle of nowhere. (the ocean, actually)
Nokosee: Rise of the New Seminole by Micco Mann is "Into the Wild" via a 17 year old girl lost in the Everglades. Her "voice" has been described as a modern fem's Holden Caulfield (but with a lot less kvetching, i.e. she's more doer than complainer). Lots of adventure, action, a little violence and romance (not necessarily at the same time) all set against an eco-terrorist plot to reclaim south Florida for the "New Seminole."
