How do u survive in the wilderness without hunting ?

Seeing since you are going to need licenses to hunt that are practically impossible to get is there any way you can survive without hunting ?

Without your gear getting way to heavy ? or stopping by a town every 4 days ?How do u survive in the wilderness without hunting ?
You don't have to eat meat you know. If I was starvin I would say freak a license in the first place. If you know which ones to eat (many are poisonous) then you can survive off of plants, mushrooms, and insects. However, you may need to find some bones of a dead animal to get the calcium out of it! Uhh.... why would you WANT to do that? That is a next to impossible thing. It is like asking if you can breathe without having to inhale. I doubt the government would be strongly for someone going out into possibly posted territory to try and survive. But, yes. You CAN survive without hunting. Buy the S.A.S. Survival Handbook by John Wiseman, and it will answer your questions. You would need to forage for various plants a LOT because the survivor needs a very balanced diet.
