If you don't have any modern technology. How would you stop from smelling, and fight off infection? How to keep clean in the wilderness?
Stay near a water source. It will provide u with a place to wash. Keeping things clean is key to fighting infection. Make sure to boil any water for cleaning cuts to prevent any parasites or bacteria that could be in the foreign water source.
For short-term exposures, such as weekend camping trips, using 'baby-wipes' may be enough.
Sometimes a generous amount of rubbing alcohol and a towel or two can be used for a wipe-on/wipe-off cleaning session. But rubbing alcohol shouldn't be used near the eyes, nose or mouth to avoid a stinging sensation or the inhalation of fumes.
If you want to use soap %26amp; water for a 'field shower' or to clean a wound, then be sure the water is purified beforehand.
For information about long-term wilderness or homesteading hygiene, I suggest further research on your own by reading books or visiting websites. How to keep clean in the wilderness?
anti-bacterial liquid soap, the best thing since, well, anti-bacterial bar soap. You can buy generic at the dollar store thats just as good as Dial %26amp; fill a canteen with the stuff, just be sure to clearly label it so you dont end up drinking it %26amp; ruining your trip. Put some on a sponge or rag %26amp; scrub yourself down. Really it doesnt matter much if your arms, legs %26amp; torso get nasty, the key is keeping your hands, feet, %26amp; privates (front %26amp; back) clean to prevent fungus, infection, %26amp; the spread of bacteria. %26amp; dont forget to bury your latrine leftovers.
Buy a survival book, i have one and it tells what kind of plants to look for that can help.
Well If you find water, you can wash with it. As for smell? Rub some pine oil from pine cones on you. You will now smell like a car air freshener.
