Is there anyone living in northern Ontario wilderness off the grid , cashless and with no technology?

Also ,is there a person that only grows or hunts for food. Is this even possible these days to do in Ontario, Canada?

no technology = no vehicles and electronicsIs there anyone living in northern Ontario wilderness off the grid , cashless and with no technology?
Yes. The man who owns the next parcel of land over from mine. He doesn't drive, doesn't have electricity, gets his water from a hand pump well, has an extensive garden in the summer, keeps chickens, a few goats and hunts moose and black bear during season.

He's also close to 90 and has lived there his entire life....and does not do it without cash, as he still has to pay his property taxes yearly, buy feed for his animals and he has a fondness for plaid, that I doubt he is weaving himself. He makes his money taking hunters out on his property. Much of our back land is marsh, with many ducks. Great hunting for moose too.

Is it feasible for you to come here and do it? No. You would need to purchase the property first, as you cannot squat on Crown Land. All lands that are not owned by an individual or a corporation, belong to the Crown. You may only hunt in season and unless you have a vast knowledge of drying techniques, the meat will spoil without refrigeration. AS you have asked this several times before, I already know you are not a Canadian......you cannot just come here and set up shop without legal paperwork......which you would not get for this plan of yours.
For a non-native, no. You need licenses to hunt, unless you are native. However, there are certainly people that come close to what you are interested in - not sure about Ontario, but, there are quite a few in Yukon. But, there is always technology - even a pot to cook in is technology - and must be paid for with cash, or some sort of trade. Is there anyone living in northern Ontario wilderness off the grid , cashless and with no technology?
I'm sure there are.

I recently visited North Bay and some family friends out there are actually trappers during the winter months in some place north of North Bay that I can't pronounce the name of. They live out there during the winter without very much. That said... they were just as incorporated into society as we are.
Only if you have an immigration visa.
If there is, we wouldn't know, would we? It is possible.
Yes, there are.

But since they have no technology it's not like they can tell you about it.
