How long could someone survive in the wilderness with a dog and a .22?

It would probably be in the Rocky mountains would have a good amount of bullets and clothes. How long could someone survive in the wilderness with a dog and a .22?
hours, days, weeks, months, years.

Way too many variables. Are you planning on living in a cave, a tent, or a cabin? Are you planning on hunting and trapping or just straight survival? Is someone after you? Do you plan on resupplying? Do you plan on coming back? Do you own the land or are living on public land? How to plan on traveling? Clothes weigh you down, you can never have enough bullets.
The gun is gonna be next to useless over time cuz you'll run out of bullets. For hunting, you'll end up scaring away game %26amp; will have to travel much more each time. For self-defense, you'd have to be an excellent marksman under pressure, and even then you'd be wasting ammo that could be spent on hunting. The gun will not last as long as you potentially can. Just watch that show with Bear whatshisface or Survivor Man - they never bring a gun.

If it's a domesticated dog, you'll have to work harder to feed the both of you. The typical pet canine has no survival skills. You'll have to struggle to teach it to hunt, the dog won't learn on his/her own since those are skills learned from the pack (and right now, that consists of just you %26amp; the dog).

You'd need some survival training to last more than a week, regardless of supplies. How long could someone survive in the wilderness with a dog and a .22?
that all depends on the persons level of common sense and their own survival instincts. the .22 would supply you with food and a small level of protection while the dog would likely provide only company and possibly protection (or at least warning).
If you have to ask, probably not too long. The wilderness is not like a video game, if you don't survive, you can't push reset and start over.
Would depend on who that "someone" was". Lots of folks I know wouldn't last an hour.
