How much for an acre of wilderness?

I am looking into buying an unfathomably large plot of wilderness, and I was wondering how much I might expect to pay. Don't need it to connect to any roads or be anywhere near civilization whatsoever. Don't care the country, it could be Canada, Brazil, or Russia so long as it's not barren wasteland. What's the lowest I could ever possibly expect to spend per acre?How much for an acre of wilderness?
What is unfathomably large? One friend spent $20,000 CAD for 30 acres with lake frontage while another paid $20,000 CAD for 120 acres with river frontage. Both are in Ontario, Canada.

Well, if you have millions upon millions of dollars to spend I'm sure you have a lawyer on retainer and they can find you a good real estate agent. Did you hear the sarcasm?
In the U.S. property prices can vary from $1,000 a square acre to upwards of $40,000. I am guessing unfathomably large would consist of at least one hundred acres, probably more. That means in the U.S. you are spending at least $100,000 to $4,000,000 and probably more.



Why do you want so much property? If you are simply attempting to hide there are MANY areas of the world where you can effectively live off the land. Many areas also have less watchful governments as the U.S., but some have more so you must choose your country wisely. In the U.S., for example, there are many national and state forests and wildlife preserves, you could live off the land in these areas as long as you don't get caught.



Theoretically the lowest price you could ever pay would be if you live in a country with the best valued dollar and transfer your money to a currency that has less value. For example, $1.00 USD, while not the best currency, is the equivalent of 1,890 Pesos in Columbia as of yesterday. And Columbia has land you can definitely live off of assuming you don't mind the drug cartels or the C.I.A. raids. How much land could you purchase in Columbia with 1,890 pesos? Sounds like a winner if you are after unfathomable amounts of land. It depends on where it is, whats on it, everywhere you go land value differs. Since you have millions and millions, go visit a few locations and start shopping around, and ask people in the area how much they paid an acre.
