I live in palm desert and in looking for a place that is kinda near where I live. Anyone know a place? I don't to pay to camp nor where a lot of people go and nor a crazy people area where you can get murder.What are some good camping grounds that you can stay in the wilderness?
San Jacinto wilderness, San Gorgonio Wilderness, Joshua Tree National Park... lots of good places out by you.
Your backyard is more dangerous than any wilderness area I have ever camped. You are not looking for a campground. You are looking for "dispersed camping" opportunities which can be found almost anywhere in "designated wilderness areas." Contact your Forest Service District Ranger Office for regulations in your area.What are some good camping grounds that you can stay in the wilderness?
