Just wondering if any camping enthusiasts who like to get away from the city for a bit but still enjoy internet access know if mobile internet sticks (or any other means of wireless internet) are still reliable in the wilderness? Also, if possible, could you tell me how far out they worked?Do Mobile Internet Sticks Work In The Wilderness?
yes they do,,,, go with verizon ,, they are the most wide spread and have the most coverage ,, if you have an iphone you can use that as a "hot spot" which allows you to use the internet off your iphone, or you can just get a usb receiver, AND they also have these things called mobile hotspots, check them out,, just go to a verizon store and ask about itDo Mobile Internet Sticks Work In The Wilderness?
haha sounds like you don't really understand how they work.
They use the same system as cell phones. anywhere you can get data through a cell phone you can get one on a mobile stick. not all cell towers are capable of transmitting data but you will have to ask you provider on its specific coverage.
if you go with satellite internet, im guessing you could go anywhere but it would be more expensive and probably not worth it.
