Where can I camp out in the wilderness in a tent by a lake or small body of water secluded from technology and buildings? I want to camp someplace without set camp grounds and running water. Are there places where I can go out in a camp ground wooded area and camp out far away from civilization and try to rough it for a few days? I live in northeast ohio area around Youngstown.Where can you go to camp out in the wilderness?

Do be aware that 'running water' is not necessarily safe drinking water
and fire safety is critical..
If you "try to rough it" you'd better know what you're doing.
