Generally in order to study these things you at least need to be a college student studying biology or another olog. In order for it to be a career you would go to grad school for a master or PhD. Once you are in college you can find out more about which specific field you want to go into.
Zoologist = studies animals, botanist = trees, Entomologist = insects, climatologist = climate
