Your only hope will be an AIR CARD from a mobile phone company. If the cell phone wont work there than neither will the air card. There are options of satellite linkups, but you are talking major $$$$ and expertise to do it.

I would simply suggest taking additional storage devices (external drives) and wait until you are back to upload your data.
If you're going out in the wilderness then why would you carry your laptop in the first place, it's unlikely you will get a wireless signal out there anyway
Some cell phone compaines like sprint and cingular/att sell wireless cards that act like cellphones. You purchase it, and they are not cheap, so you can essentially browse the internet through a cell phone signal.
