What are some programs that do wilderness adventure trips for college students?

I want to do something like wilderness ventures, but, if possible, cheaper and for college students. Something like backpacking in the rockys, or canoeing for either a semester or a summer. I've heard of NOLS, but are there any more that are possibly less instructional and more adventurous. I've never done anything like this before, but have always wanted to.What are some programs that do wilderness adventure trips for college students?
