I can't seem to find anything on google, so I need some help thanks.Where can I find information on catching and cooking animals in wilderness for emergency survival needs?
you should read the book SAS survival guide
it was written by an SAS soldier
it is a great book and was only about 10 bucks at my local chapters
it has information on how to survive everywhere in the world
I am an Alaskan survival instructor.
You boil everything you catch for at least 11 minutes. This will make sure you do not catch any germs, and, you also drink the fluid - no matter how nasty - to get all the neutrients possible.
Although meat over a camp fire seems like a good idea - your body needs the fat and moisture that is dripping from the meat. On a solid protein diet you can starve to death with a full stomach.
When you leave the pavement - you should always have a small survival pouch. It must be very small, attached to you 24/7. A small 2" x2" zip bag with spice is handy. Ask anyone who has been caught in a survival situation and survived - they all wish they had something to flavor the water or meat.
Hope this helps.Where can I find information on catching and cooking animals in wilderness for emergency survival needs?
