Are atheists the sheep standing outside the fence laughing at the sheep who choose to remain in the fenced off paddocks on the farm? Are some atheist sheep exploiting a weak spot in the fence, holding it open and trying to encourage religious sheep to escape and be free like them? Do you like this analogy? Are atheists the sheep that have escaped from the farm and gone back to the untamed wilderness?
it would make a good cartoon. hahaha
WoofAre atheists the sheep that have escaped from the farm and gone back to the untamed wilderness?
Nope, i am a fox.
grass is always greener on the other side
and the grass outside the fence is yummy :)
I'm not a sheep in any sense of the word.
I'm more of a WOLF ma'am
I eat sheeps for breakfast
Animals do not have a religion..... that is funny though. good job lmao
Don't sheep get eaten in the wild?
I'm actually the monkey that unlocked the gate
No we're not sheep, we're people and we realised there was a gate.
I prefer the term, ram.
I prefer the Matrix (the first one) analogy, it's a better movie for adults than sheep.
Sounds like the flock are losing interest or the shepherd isn't doing his job?...
Considering that sheep survive pretty much solely because they live in a large herd, and that the wilderness has considerably less food for sheep than the pasture, and that the sheep herder actually takes good care of the sheep and actually exists, no.
Freedom is not always a good thing. It can be suicidal, or worse, murderous. Encouraging sheep to go free is like encouraging birds to fly towards a jet engine.
I'm not sure that I would consider atheists to be metaphorical sheep.
Sure. Have it your way. Atheists are free, intelligent butterflies and theists are stupid, foolish ostriches.
What confuses me is why the atheists aren't in charge. They're the moral, independant, free, smart ones, right? Can you explain that for me?
I'm so foolish and confused, after all.
Maybe YOU evolved from a sheep, but I sure didn't!
It's true, most of us are just a bunch of wild and crazy sheep.
Please don't associate us with "sheep," ok? Even wild ones.
My uncle keeps sheep on his farm -- they're incredibly dumb animals.
Peace.
"Do you like this analogy?"
No. The atheists are the sheep who've decided it's better not to be sheep at all.
...And the agnostics walk freely back and forth, in and out of the weak spot in the fence, wondering why the atheists feel the need to laugh at the sheep who choose to remain in the paddocks rather than simply enjoy THEIR freedom and be done with it. Apparently, in your analogy the encumbered sheep aren't being offensive...so the agnostics have no concern with them.
so your saying the sheep in the farm are doomed for the slaughter house? correct.
