How can one live in the wilderness?

Depending on just the climate, what could you do in order to survive in the wilderness? (Ex. You could hunt, fish or grow food)How can one live in the wilderness?
Three essentials to survival (in order of importance)

1.Water

2. Food

3. Shelter

Fire is also a key aspect, but you dont need it to survive.

If you have all three (or four) of these, you could surive anywhere.

Water- lots of ways to get it- rivers, streams, condensation (solar still), etc.

Food- look around you- plants and animals(you could hunt)

Shelter- make one (easiest type is called a lean-to), or use already present natural shelters like caves.

Fire- lots of ways to make fire- flint and steel, bow and drill, fire plough, hand drill, or you could carry a firesteel with you (a metal rod composed of 7 metals w/ a steel striker which you drag across the rod, creating 3000 degree sparks)

Hope this helps^^
1. Find things to eat.

2. Avoid being eaten or eating something that kills you.

3. Find or build protection from the environment.

That's about all there is to it anywhere you go. And for all species. How can one live in the wilderness?
Your first problem would be finding a true wilderness. There are parts of the world that are still rugged and remote, but most of these would be difficult to survive in. Depending on where you are in the world you should be able to find books that will help. If you can identify the plants and their properties in your wilderness you can probably survive for quite some time provided you have access to clean drinking water. This is problematic in the US and Australia (e.g.) because many wild rivers are affected by Giarda lamblia or E. coli or both
