if it happens im getting my friends and guns and heading straight for canada do you know if the canadian wilderness is a good place to go. i dont care what the zombie survival guide says do you think it is?Is the canadian wilderness a good place to set up camp in a zombie apocalypse?
Assuming that you know how to live off the land and protect yourself from the climate, yes.
And you really wouldn't have to live off the tundra, anyway. Canada is a country that would probably not have serious problems with a zombie outbreak anyway - because of the climate.
Simply because a zombie (theoretically speaking, of course - such things are not real) is a reanimated corpse.
A zombie would have no body heat, because even though it is "hungry", it cannot digest food because the gastrointestinal system is dead. This means no thermic heat from caloric conversion.
The human body, even a corpse, is still mostly water, and in the Canadian wilderness, especially at any time of the year when average temperatures drop below freezing at any time, the zombie would simply freeze solid. This would render it unable to move at all, and the water in the intercranial fluid of the skull would also freeze. This water, forming into ice, would expand, filling the cranium and doing catastrophic trauma to the brain of the zombie. Water in each brain cell would freeze and expand, rupturing brain tissue on a cellular level.
In a climate where the temperature drops below freezing the zombie infestation would be quickly destroyed, and by "Mother Nature" herself. Every night all the new zombies would freeze and be destroyed, and each morning they would simply be lying where they fell.
In such a time of widespread chaos and martial law, it is doubtful that the Canadian border patrol would refuse any refugee the right to self-defense, and it is highly unlikely that they would be able to prevent armed refugees from crossing the border overland at any rate.
And this is coming from an American.
may thru september you might survive, the other six months out in the wilderness in the middle of winter, with hardly any food, you'd starve to death thats if you didn't freeze to death first...
oh and you wouldnt catch any self respecting canadian like me out the in the wilderness without an axe, guns are good, but you wouldnt last a week without an axe to chop fire wood...Is the canadian wilderness a good place to set up camp in a zombie apocalypse?
That wouldn't be the first place I would go. Unless you are a very experienced woodsman, extreme weather, wildlife, and rough terrain will kill you before the zombies.
I would say Go to Colorado, and build a bunker out of Bricks. It would Be Zombie proof especially underground, and you CAN Have guns In america, I guess not in canada tho
